Becky Rogerson MBE, is the Director of Wearside Women in Need (WWiN), a specialist domestic abuse service providing a range of accommodation and community based services in Sunderland.

Experience includes twenty years in the field of domestic violence as a delivery agent; ten years as a serving Magistrate in the Adult Criminal Court; Probation service employment in prison and community settings, and the design and delivery of voluntary sector victim and perpetrator programmes.

A 2011 Winston Churchill Fellow, Becky specialised in ‘Criminal Justice and Community Responses to Domestic Abuse in the Americas’ and has deployed much of that learning in UK settings. A presenter at the UK/China Human Rights Dialogue in Beijing (2017) on the role of Civil Society in Domestic Violence Law Reforms, and currently a Commissioner on the Barking and Dagenham national panel, tasked with designing a ‘Blueprint’ for domestic abuse approaches in England.

Becky was awarded an MBE in the 2020 Honours list.
