About this speaker
Claudene is the System Change Lead for Fulfilling Lives Newcastle Gateshead with overall responsibility of enabling services to look at complex systemic challenges – exploring ways to unpick them and move towards creating sustainable change within their workplace and beyond.
She manages the Co-production team to make sure the voice of people with multiple needs is central to the system change activity.
Claudene joined Fulfilling Lives in May 2018 after leading the implementation and delivery of Pause Newcastle – a service that worked with women who had experienced the repeat removal of children and rapid repeat pregnancy. Prior to this, Claudene worked for the national homeless charity Crisis as Progression Coordinator – working with vulnerable homeless adults who faced chaos and multiple barriers within systems they were trying to access help from.
An avid champion and supporter of women’s rights work along with capturing women’s voice in services, for the last eight years she has volunteered at Rape Crisis Tyneside and Northumberland delivering the support helpline.
Claudene has a continued interest in creating a healthy ecosystem that responds and flexes well to both staff and service users, ensuring that the complex needs agenda is handled with authenticity, skill and compassion
