About this speaker
Richard is one of the policy and practice managers at the Making Every Adult Matter (MEAM) Coalition since May 2019, focussing on national policy outputs from MEAM and supporting two MEAM Approach areas in Hampshire. Originally from south Wales, he moved to London in late 2018.
He’s worked as public affairs manager at Llamau, a leading youth homelessness and domestic abuse charity in Wales, successfully campaigning to change the law around emergency B&B placements for young people; in a policy role at Oxfam Cymru, working on the UK poverty programme; and also as development officer for City of Sanctuary in Swansea, a project working with asylum seekers and refugees.
Previously Richard worked in Istanbul, Turkey, for an international daily Turkish newspaper
