Supporting women experiencing homelessness during COVID 19: Learning from the emergency responses of front line services (55 minutes)

A Talk by Becky Rogerson MBE , Claire Fisher , Lesley Brooks and Emma Bray

About this Talk

This session will explore some of the key challenges and learning from supporting women experiencing homelessness during the COVID19 pandemic.

The work of organisations in adapting to these challenges and continuing to support and advocate for women locally and through different types of service provision. Emergency planning locally largely failed to consider women's needs and very few areas opened a women only emergency space, this workshop will consider why this happened and how services supporting women advocated for women's needs to be considered.
